In October of 1994, I became Vice President and Chief Steward of Chapter 9, holding those positions until 1998, when I was elected Chapter 9 President. I am currently serving in my 7th term of office as President. I have served on numerous task forces, national negotiation teams, and been trained nearly past the realm of human comprehension. I love the challenges that this position throws at me daily.....as the Agency changes, the challenges increase exponentially.
I came to this position with no institutional knowledge over 14 years ago....with the help of more experienced presidents and other chapter leaders, I have been able to become a president secure enough to help along the next generation of leaders. I believe that one of our biggest failings could be to forget from whence we came, so our historical evolution plays a large part in my application of lessons learned.
