| At the quarterly NTEU Chapter 9 member meeting, Laura Banks addressed an enthusiastic meeting followed by an open house to support Labor Recognition Week. Board members were dishing up the pizza as members assembled. Updates on current issues and members' concerns were discussed. Laura thanked the Chapter 9 membership for taking advantage of NTEU's Cap Wiz resource, found on the Union's web site, www.nteu.org. It is important to have your opinions shared. A highlight of the meeting was the Chapter's Board of Director's recognition of the www.nteu9.org award-winning website. Thanks to the dedicated members for making the website a success. Legislative updates included the pending appropriation bill and the successful reconsideration of the TAC closures. More help will be needed for the Appropriation Bill.
